Virginia Berasategi and Mikel Elgezabal became the new Spanish Long Distance Triathlon champions last sunday in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Triathletes had to deal with high temperatures that made the race very hard for eveybody. Eneko didn’t took part in the race due to his recent participation at Ironman Frankfurt and was watching the race from the outside and working as Technical Director of the event.
This was the test event for the European Long Distance Triathlon Championships that will be held in this same course next year. The organizing team makes a very good balance of the race, and hopes to keep improving to organize a great European in 2010.
