After a couple of rest weeks and after slowly coming back to training I am now inmerse in the hard work again. There are only 11 weeks left for my next big goal the ITU Long Distance World Championships the 29th of july in my city Vitoria-Gasteiz. The race goes through the places where I have trained all my life and is going to be closer than ever to my family, friends and supporters. My motivation for this race is higher than ever, and I am enjoying the hard work with this big goal in mind. I am increasing the volume of my training and also starting to pick up the intensity, I don’t think I need as much volume as for an Ironman and in the other hand I think intensity training is going to be important for this 4-120-30K race.
I am planninng my racing schedule towards the World Championships, I’ll be back of course to the BH Triathlon in Zarautz, I love that race. And I have also added a new I Can race that debuts in 2012, I Can Valladolid in half Ironman distance the 7th of july, the event looks great and Valladolid is going to be a great place to test myself and do a race to improve my racing shape.
This next week I’ll be in Lanzarote supporting Rut in her Ironman debut. I am looking forward to help her and see how she crosses the finish line in the Ironman she has witnessed since she was a child in her beautiful island. I will be at the expo area with my sponsors BH and Polar so if you are racing or if you are in the island come and visit me if you wish. Good luck to all competitors for the race!!
